Samp recently took part in a collaborative digitalization initiative at the Flow Center of Excellence in Dordrecht, Netherlands, working alongside Smart AIS (Asset Integrity Solutions). The project focused on quickly and accurately capturing facility data, demonstrating how established yet innovative tools can minimize disruption and streamline asset information management.
The process began with Smart AIS performing a full facility scan using the NavVis VLX, a mobile mapping tool that captures precise, high-resolution 3D data. This approach made it possible to generate a comprehensive digital model of the flow loop and associated assets in a matter of hours, rather than days or weeks.
Following the scan, Shared Reality‘s 3D AI processed the reality capture data seamlessly in minutes, resulting in an interactive digital environment that enables teams to access and share detailed facility information remotely.
The speed and ease of this workflow meant that Smart AIS could validate engineering drawings and redline discrepancies, connect the 3D reality model to operational data in minutes, not days. Shared Reality is proven in the field-deployed across hundreds of sites and continuously integrates the latest AI trainings to improve usability and results.
By uniting established methods with an innovative AI-driven solution, Smart AIS and Samp demonstrated that efficient, accurate digitalization of industrial facilities is not just practical but also scalable to all sizes of facilities. This project underscores how reliable digital workflows can support better, faster decision-making in asset management and operations, confirming the ever-accelerating adoption across the industry.
