Trapil, operator of pipeline transportation services for refined petroleum products, Survey, a national player in 3D reality capture, and Samp, a deeptech company automating the generation of digital twins, have announced a partnership to accelerate the implementation of digital twins in oil transport and storage sites. Thanks to this alliance, Trapil and Survey will be able to offer their customers the innovative “Shared Reality” solution from Samp, thereby extending their range of services to third-party operators.
After deploying Samp’s solution on its own facilities, and realizing the benefits of Shared Reality in terms of simplification of modernisation projects as well as operational excellence, Trapil and Survey have decided to extend their range of expertise offered to midstream oil & gas operators by integrating this solution into their services portfolio.
Combining expertises to accelerate the deployment of digital twins
Samp’s Shared Reality solution creates accurate replicas of industrial sites in just days. Using artificial intelligence and 3D streaming technology, it links technical documents (inventories, drawings, diagrams, etc.) with a 3D reality capture.
These digital twins offer a combined view of the actual site and the technical diagrams, simplifying the execution of many of the most costly and risky day-to-day operations, while making it possible to constantly track document and site changes over time.
The opportunity to integrate this new expertise in the field of pipeline transportation
For Trapil and Survey, this partnership means a broader range of services and a value proposition that is more aligned with the needs of midstream operators, as the solution was jointly developed with Samp and has been fully proven on the networks operated by Trapil.
This collaboration between Trapil, Survey and Samp marks a major step forward in infrastructure management in the pipeline transportation sector, further enhancing the safety and adaptability of both infrastructure and operations.
Xavier Folch, Trapil’s Managing Director, declared: “This partnership with Samp is particularly strategic for us as it is based on fundamental values that have always been core to the strategy of Trapil and its subsidiary Survey: innovating to improve health and safety, while preventing any damage to the environment. “
Stephan Valdebouze, Survey’s Managing Director said: “Survey is delighted to enter into this strategic partnership with SAMP. It combines Survey’s distinctive ability to accurately and comprehensively capture industrial facilities with SAMP’s technical expertise and differentiated solution, thereby offering our customers efficiency in terms of safety, operation and maintenance. This collaboration reinforces our shared commitment to operational excellence.”
Laurent Bourgouin, CEO of Samp, declared: “I’m extremely proud of this partnership with Trapil and Survey. This partnership enables us to have our Shared Reality solution supported by industry experts with widely recognized capabilities, enabling us to make a faster impact on this sector, which is undergoing rapid transformation.”

Survey provides network infrastructure engineering services throughout France. The complementary nature of its activities means that it coordinates and synergises a wide range of skills, making it a key partner for network operators: industrial companies, local authorities and public institutions. Historically a specialist in the Oil & Gas industry, Survey is now fully involved in the challenges of the energy transition, transferring its expertise to new sectors such as water and electricity.
About Samp
Samp is a deeptech company that accelerates the transformation and decarbonization of industrial sites thanks to a digital twin of facilities, generated in just a few days directly from the field. Their web-based “Shared Reality” solution reconciles 3D scans of sites with technical documentation (inventories, drawings) that is often incomplete and rarely up to date. This patented solution, based on Artificial Intelligence and 3D streaming, brings simplicity and efficiency to industrial site modernization projects.
