SEDIF Digitizes Its Drinking Water Network with 3D and AI

SEDIF, the public utility supplying drinking water to 4 million people across seven departments in Île-de-France, is creating a digital twin of its extensive network-covering nearly 8,000 km of pipelines and three major production plants.

Partnering with Franciliane (Veolia) and Samp, the project uses 3D scanning and AI to capture every valve, pump, and instrument, connecting them to existing plans and the CMMS. All data is centralized on Samp’s Shared Reality platform, enabling accurate, real-time insights for operations and maintenance.
